Most travel agents usually offer two types of safaris, regular safaris or tailor made safaris. In regards to tailor made safaris, the organization (dates, itineraries, hotels and so on) are open to suit each traveller and thus you get to do it your way with a guide and or driver guide and a private vehicle. These departures do not necessarily mean that you will be joining big groups given that the vehicles employed have a limited capacity which will vary between operators but mostly up to seven passengers per vehicle. Most of them will be carried out in a 4×4 safari van and quite often with a maximum of up to 3 vans. Though these departures will be in groups hence not very flexible, most operators offer safari extensions which could be carried our as pre tours or post tours where they try to stick as much as possible to your personal interests not covered in the regular departures.
